Collector Love Letters by JRO | Redwood City, California
A lovely pair walked into my exhibition booth, we engaged in a fluid conversation that covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Before long, they extended an invitation for me to visit that evening to view their “unique new build.”
As it turns out, the gentleman was from Minnesota, which sparked an enthusiastic discussion about our shared home state. The gentlewoman was polished, had a deep personality and is a collector of profound and meaningful objects, each with their own fascinating stories. I was fully engaged and savored every moment of the home tour.
After a career of 40+ years as a general contractor, the couple demolished their family home and constructed a distinctive, shapely masterpiece. As I walked inside to assess the proposed location for a new piece of statement art, their shared vision, for the grand entry way, became crystal clear.
There was a lot of laughter and positive energy, I left knowing that in a few short months, I would be delivering a Custom JRO Original. Upon delivery, no more than 24 hours later, I received multiple pictures of its installation.
They were delighted, enchanted by the movement of the piece and marveled at how the artwork interacted with natural light, both during the day and at night, depending on the location from which it was viewed. The artwork was particularly striking in the entrance of this home, where the vaulted, circular, dome-like architecture designed by Architect Paul Gilger provided an ideal backdrop for The Copper Collection’s exquisite beauty.
The highlight of this story for me is what occurred on Thanksgiving Day. I received a text message, “Everyone raves about your work. Love it! Happy Thanksgiving”.

The fine artist indulges her passion for design, multimedia creation, adventure, and travel alongside her dedication to the study of classical piano. Jennifer has been based in Los Angeles since 2000. She now divides her time between the LA studio and travels for her art exhibition tours. JRO’s work can be seen domestically and internationally at art festivals, galleries, and museums.
